Crewe's Oswell Impressing At Rhyl

Crewe's Oswell Impressing At Rhyl
Crewe youngster Jason Oswell is impressing over at Rhyl during his loan spell this season.

The 19 year old has been named Huws Gray Alliance's Player of the Month for October after helping Rhyl to the top of the table.

The Northwich-born striker, who signed professional terms with the club in the summer, has netted six goals in just 10 games for the Welsh club, a season they've so far dominated.

Already seven sides have seen Rhyl knock six goals past each of them, including eight goal thumpings for Penycae & Caersws. It makes for an incredible goal difference of +41 in their first 11 league games!

The Alex have made close ties with The Lilywhites this year having also played a friendly at Belle Vue in the summer (it finished 0-0).

Another Alex youngster having a successful loan period is Harry Clayton (pictured).

Clayton is currently one of the Evo-Stik league's leading scorers after a impressive start to the season on loan at Market Drayton.

Despite the Gingerbread Men struggling at the foot of the table, Clayton has netted 9 times in the first 17 matches.

Crewe Alexandra managed to give supporters a long-awaited victory in their final home game of the season against Doncaster Rovers.

Davis happy with finale

Manager Steve Davis was happy and doubtless very relieved to witness Crewe Alexandra complete their home programme with a 3-1 victory against Doncaster Rovers.

Crewe recover for victory

Crewe Alexandra came from behind for a first win in sixteen games and to drag Doncaster Rovers down into League Two with them for next season.

Kick-off was delayed by half-an-hour due to a waterlogged playing surface and Tommy Rowe gave the visitors the lead through a deflected strike.

However, youngster Callum Ainley equalised with his first senior goal before the break and Marcus Haber and substitute Brad Inman added second-half efforts.
