September Vital Player of the Month - Rhys Taylor
After taking the August award with 42% of the vote, Taylor has gone one better for September by collecting a staggering 64% of votes on the Vital Crewe poll.
It is without doubt deserved. Throughout September Taylor conceded just four goals in five games, collecting his third clean sheet of the season in the 3-0 home win over Bury. Some vital saves against the likes of Burton and Macclesfield also kept the eight game unbeaten run going.
Even when he's conceding nine in two games he's coming out smelling of roses; it would be unfair to say he was at fault for any of those nine goals (well two were penalties and two were own goals!), one magnificent save late on at Chesterfield denied them an unthinkable victory.
He's going to take some shifting by the now fit again Steve Phillips.
The also rans in the September poll were David Artell with 15% , Luke Murphy with 10% and Calvin Zola with 5% (Hoho). Patrick Ada got 3% whilst Tootle, Bell and Miller all finished with just 1%.
Player of the Month record:
August - Rhys Taylor - 42%
September - Rhys Taylor - 64%
A new poll is up. Should we keep Zola?
