Ada arrived on a free from Histon in summer 2009. He became Gudjon Thordarson's first summer signing before being joined by team mate Mitchel-King.

Initially a first choice centre back at Gresty Road, Ada has fallen out of the reckoning in the 2009-2010 season following the departure of Gudjon Thordarson.

After 8 appearances under Gudjon's guidance Ada went on to make just another 5 appearances by March under Dario Gradi. His last being a poor display at York City in the FA Cup it's left Ada out of the side, available for loan and behind the likes of King, O'Donnell and Worley in the fight for a first team spot.
