Danny Woodards signed at the end of the January 2007 transfer window from Exeter City for a small fee of £30,000. The Chelsea trainee was largely unknown amongst the Alex faithful but soon made a name for himself, cementing his place in the first team with some competent performances at the end of the 06/07 season.
His cool, calm defending, coupled with his lightening runs down the wing makes him an exciting prospect and certainly suitable to replace outbound Jon Otsemobor.
He'll be hoping to keep his place in the team next season, building on a good start to his Crewe career.
