Legzdins signed a two year deal in June 2008 after being released by Birmingham City.

Legzdins had previously spent spells out on loan to Alfreton, Halifax, Oldham and Macclesfield. During his two spells at Halifax Town he played over 35 games.

Affectionately known as Lego, he has played second fiddle to several keepers already in his two years at the club, including Steve Collis, John Ruddy, David Button and Steve Phillips.

He's had a loan spell out at Weymouth as he waits patiently for his chance in the first team.

Under Gudjon Thordarson he got a brief four game run in the side in August before being replaced by loanee David Button. He made one more appearance as a last minute stand in for the ill Collis at Cheltenham at the end of October. However, he was again dropped in place of loan keeper Steve Phillips.

He qualifies to play for the Latvia national team through his grandparents.
