Given his debut like so many others during Dario's brief spell as caretaker manager at the end of 2008, Shelley is now looking to push on and establish himself in the first team.

Days after his 18th birthday he scored his first goal in Gudjon Thordarson's first game in charge, a 2-2 draw at Millwall in the FA Cup.

However after just four January starts Shelley failed to make another appearance in 08-09.

Set to play a bigger role in 09-10 Shelley has had a frustrating time trying to break into the side. left out under Gudjon Thordarson it was Dario who gave him a run in the team following Thordarson's sacking.

After a run of games in October through to January Shelley found himself once again out of the team following a 4-1 defeat at Macclesfield.

2010 started poor for Shelley, making just three sub appearances up to mid-March. But as a bright prospect who Dario has a lot of faith in his time is sure to come.
