Crewe suffer Bantams loss
Sat 14th Nov 3.00pm
Crewe Alexandra were hit by goals either side of the break as Bradford City triumphed 2-0 at Valley Parade.
Gary Liddle headed the home side in front in first-half added time and Billy Clarke added a second with less than an hour played.
Meanwhile, Brad Inman struck the crossbar at the other end but the visitors still remain rooted at the bottom of the table.
Striker James Hanson had earlier poked wide a Clarke cross before sending a heading opportunity over, while goalkeeper Ben Garratt blocked Kyel Reid's effort.
Clarke also struck wide before Tony McMahon delivered a first-half stoppage time free-kick and Liddle directed in a downward header.
The Bantams added their second through Clarke beating Garratt with an angled drive as the hour-mark approached.
Former Alex keeper Ben Williams then denied Ryan Colclough and was also grateful to the woodwork as Inman went so desperately close to a reply.
