Crewe triumph in derby

Crewe Alexandra grabbed their first points of the season with a couple of vital early goals against rivals Port Vale at Gresty Road.
Defender George Ray opened their account after only six minutes before Vadaine Oliver soon headed another.
Jordan Slew pulled a goal back before the break but the Railwaymen held firm for a morale-boosting victory.
They enjoyed the perfect start as Ray hooked in when Marcus Haber nodded on an early Matt Tootle free-kick.
And it got even better for the home supporters with Tootle crossing on nineteen minutes for Oliver to head a second at the far post.
Billy Waters twice went close to adding to it when being denied by the crossbar and a clearance off the line.
Goalscorer Ray then dragged back Slew inside the area and the on loan forward netted after goalkeeper Ben Garratt had initially denied him from the spot.
Former Alex striker Tom Pope was later twice denied by Garratt and skipper Tootle cleared following a scramble near the line.
