We will be looking to get the season back on track after a disappointing home defeat to Bournemouth last Saturday. Southend will also be looking to get back to winning ways after losing at home to Tranmere Rovers. Please note the game kicks off at 1PM.

Southend United Team News:

To Follow

Player to watch: Leon Clarke

Joined at the end of August on Loan from Championship Sheffield Wednesday. Since his arrival he has had a huge impact, scoring 5 goals and will be one to watch for the Crewe backline.

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

George Abbey could come in to the side in place of Billy Jones who has been struggling with injury this week. Julien Baudet is fit again and looks set to regain his place at Centre half.

The midfield looks set to be changed again, Gary Roberts maybe the player to miss out. Lee Barnard should be fit to resume up front.

Likely Team: Ben Williams, Danny Woodards, George Abbey, Julien Baudet, Chris McCready, Steve Schumacher, Ben Rix, Byron Moore, Ryan Lowe, Shaun Miller, Lee Barnard

Player to watch: Lee Barnard

Lee Barnard, goals have been hard to come by for Crewe and we will be hoping that Lee is fit to lead the line at Southend.

He has bagged 2 goals so far in his spell with us and we will be looking for him to find the net again.
