Crewe make long midweek journey to Darlington looking to build on an impressive 4-0 win at Grimsby.
Despite winning well at Grimsby, Crew e boss Gudjon Thordarson feels their is still room for improvement.
He said ' 'I am always looking or improvement. When you stop doing that as a manager then it is time to give up.
You have to be always looking and even though we won 4-0 at the weekend I am still looking for room to improve'
Assistant Manager Dean Windass is pushing for a recall despite missing a penalty in the 1-0 defeat to Bury at the weekend.
Has to be Windass, the guy scores for fun against Crewe and should he be start it wouldn't surprise anyone if he opened his goalscoring account for the season against the Railwaymen.
Captain Billy Jones and midfielder Steve Schumacher should shake off knocks to take their places in the starting line up.
Joel Grant has also been struggling but is also expected to be declared fit as Thordarson looks to name an unchanged side.
Likely Team: Button, Jones, Brayford, Worley, Ada, Mitchell-King, Schumacher, Verma, Moore, Grant, Zola
Scored 3 goals in 3 games now and has remained fit. The goals should give him confidence to become a key player for the Railwaymen at this level.
Darlington are yet to win this season and will be looking to get up running tonight.
This is the first meeting between the sides in over 12 years. The teams last met in the league cup in the 1995/96 season which Crewe won 5-1 on aggregate.
Mark Smith was dismissed at Darlington in just 19 seconds in the 1-0 defeat at Darlington on 12th March 1994.
The referee is Mr J WAUGH. He will be assisted by P E Curry and J Hunt. The fourth official for the match is Mr B Khatib.
