The Glovers Preview

Yeovil Town
vs.
Crewe Alexandra

Huish Park

12th April 2008

3:00 pm

Crewe will be looking to avoid their 3rd defeat in a row this Saturday away at Yeovil Town.

Points are getting more and more vital if we are going to avoid relegation and we are going to have to improve greatly from the performance that the players gave last Saturday at home to Southend.

Yeovil are not guaranteed safety themselves and will be looking to pick up 3 points to pass the magical 50 point mark.

Steve Holland Says:

'This group of players is quite capable of winning the last four games - there's absolutely no doubt in my mind about that,'

'Whether they do remains to be seen. They will have to start the game in a better frame of mind than on Saturday, that's for sure, but it is time for all of them to stand up and be counted.'

Yeovil Town Team News:

Yeovil have a fair few injuries and concerns.

Skipper Terry Skiverton missed the last game at Carlisle with a virus and its unclear whether he will make the game tomorrow. There are also concerns over Matty Rose and Craig Alcock.

Marc Bircham should feature after overcoming injury, and either Mildenhall or Behcet will play in goal with the Glovers unable to re-sign Begovic.

Simon Church could also play a part.

Player to watch: Simon Church

Church could add himself to the list of former loan players to score against us this season. Lets hope not!

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

Woodards is out of the game with an ankle injury he picked up on Saturday when he got stretchered off against Southend.

Steve Jones is also still out with a back injury. Billy Jones won't be risked until he comes through a reserve game, O'Connor is out with groin injury and Cox is still a few weeks away from fitness.

On the plus side Baudet has shaken of injury and Pope could also play a part.

Player to watch: Nicky Maynard

Maynard has been in fine form recently and will hopefully add to his goal tally here.

Match Facts & Stats

The two sides have only met 3 times before. The last time Crewe came up as 2-0 winners in November last year.

Yeovil have won both of the other meetings.
