Obviously cant complain too much about being in League One and all that, BUT, there's some right crap in that fixture list - Sheff Utd and Doncaster both away on Tuesday nights in November, Hartlepool away on a Tuesday in February and both Xmas fixtures away, albeit it only as far as Tranmere and Oldham. Home to Sheff Utd and Swindon on Tuesday nights too.

On the other hand, Yeovil last away game of the season.

Possibly 6 games in the first 2.5 weeks!

None of those Tuesday night games are a problem for me, being in York an' all . But seriously, those fixtures do seem slightly unfair

It's a bit of a tough test for the first 4 games but at least we'll get an idea of how we're going to cope.
I like the Walsall at home last game.

I need to read up on L1, all those teams look much of a muchness in terms of quality.

The Tuesday games are taking the mick. Going to lower a potentially big attendance against Oldham and completely ruin some decent away days. I also despise Carlisle in mid-week. Horrible place to go.

I don't want to sound to over confident but some of these teams are in for the shock of their lives when they come up against the new Railwaymen.

(IF they play like we now know they can).

After looking at that I doubt I'll be doing all the Tuesday night games.

Blame the Olympics for the 2 week late start, and the Champions League Final at Wembley for the 1 week early finish.

For me all the games I like to go to are Tuesday away. Those I probably won't go to ..Stevenage Prtsmouth etc are weekend games. What's the point of a derby (sort of) away on Boxing Day when there is no public transport. Not happy!

A decade ago our opening home game was also against Notts, and in the same div.The Alex were booed off as we slumped to a flukey 0-3 loss. However, that was as bad as it got that campaign as the strength and flair of Crewe's squad soon became evident up against this lower grade opposition and we bounced straight back to level2 finishing runners-up behind bankrolled Wigan.
