Reserves Win 3-1

A relatively inexperienced Alex reserve side beat Chesterfield 3-1 this afternoon.

The behind closed doors game was a comfortable victory for Crewe with academy players Josh Thompson and Chris Clements on the scoresheet along with Junior Brown.

Brown made his debut for the senior side as a substitute at Brighton last weekend and will be hoping this boosts his chances of future appearances in the senior squad.

Josh Thompson has been touted as a future star and has been training with the first team recently. A goal this afternoon will do no harm to his chances of a first team call up.

Team: Stuart Tomlinson, James Bailey, Mat Bailey, Tom Lappin, Ryan Lynch, Junior Brown, Mark Carrington, Colin Daniel, Josh Thompson, Luke Murphy, Chris Clements, Nathan Bancroft, Two Trialists.
