Three Loans Await

Steve Holland has suggested that three loan players could be on their way once the loan window re-opens on Thursday. Having seen a less than productive January transfer window, Holland's hopes on strengthening the playing squad now rest on loan players and free transfers.

Holland has already made it known that he is keen to bring back former Alex striker Steve Jones on loan. However, his current club Burnley are currently reluctant and it's added to the fact Jonah is nursing a minor injury.

Holland hopes to persuade Burnley though and hopes he can have one loan player, if not Jones, in before Saturday's visit of run-away league leaders Swansea City.

Holland told the official site; 'We are looking to bring in at least two or three new players on loan and we will be looking to do that sooner rather than later. We know we have to reinforce the team.

'We have kept in touch with Steve Jones and have been very persistent there. We have continued to pester Burnley about him and hopefully something can be sorted this week.'

MEANWHILE, Neil Cox has been ruled out of Saturday's game. The 36 year old captain aggravated a shoulder injury on Saturday. Some good news for the Alex though is that Julien Baudet has been given the all clear; it was feared that the French defender had broken a bone in his foot but x-rays came back clear. He remains a huge doubt for Saturday.
