'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cox: Get The Ball Forward

Captain Neil Cox has spoken out against the need to play 'pure football', believing the team may only survive with a bit of 'hit and hope'.

The former Villa defender is known to be keen on management and is never too far away to offer his frank words. Clearly knowing the situation the team is in, Cox told the media: ''We're in a dogfight, there is no doubt about it. We've got 48 points to play for and to get to 50 points we're going to have to fight in every game.

''I'd rather not play pure football. Let's just get the ball forward. If we just win 1-0 with one chance in the game after getting absolutely battered I'm not bothered''
