Crewe Linked To Non-League Talent
Crewe are being linked to Chasetown's star defender Chris Slater.
A star of Chasetown's FA Cup team, Slater has also received interest from Port Vale, whom Chasetown knocked out of the cup. The former Wolves trainee has been ever present in the Chasetown team this season and has had trials at the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Walsall and Blackpool.
Turning 24 this month, it's unlikely Slater would turn away the opportunity of returning to the professional game should the Alex offer him a chance this month.
