Hartlepool 3-0 Crewe

Crewe's defensive mentality has recently meant that if they concede a goal on their travels there is usually no come back.

Today was no different as Crewe's travel sickness continued as they lost 3-0 at Hartlepool.

Crewe were oblivious to a 'Pool corner routine and Michael Nelson headed home unchallenged on the 67th minute and there was no come back for the Alex.

Richie Barker came off the bench to rub salt into Crewe wounds by bagging a brace, his second a very questionnable penalty in the 88th minute, only 3 minutes after scoring his first.

Crewe's lack over firepower upfront was evident again as the registered only one shot on target all game, with only three attempts on goal to Hartlepool's twenty.

Crewe's lack of a Plan B after going a goal behind is becoming a very worrying aspect of their game and Steve Holland and the Crewe management have got a lot of work to do if anything is to be salvaged from this season's campaign.
