Ince: Crewe Is Where My Heart Is

Clayton Ince says he's looking forward to returning to Gresty Road later today. The Trinidad & Tobago keeper spent 7 years with Crewe, playing over 100 games and, in 2003, broke the record for the most clean sheets as he helped us to promotion.

Speaking to expressandstar.com prior to his return with Walsall, Ince spoke of his fondness for the club after spending so long here.

He said: "Crewe is a place where my heart is. We had some good times in the Championship and I was proud to wear the jersey.

"It will be nice to see some of my old team mates as well as some of the younger players who have developed into first team players.

"Without the supporters and the community you are nothing as a player and it was that support which I received at Crewe that helped me perform."

Today's match will be the first time Ince has faced Crewe since leaving for Coventry in 2005.
