'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nicky Is Back!

Nick Maynard will start tonight's game at home to Gillingham. The striker had been out of action since breaking his leg on the first day of the season till he came on for 45 minutes at Oldham.

With 19 goals in just over 30 games last season, Nicky's return will be a huge boost for the Alex.

Steve Holland told the official site that it may take Maynard a few games to return to form:

'I'm sure getting 45 minutes under his belt will have benefited him greatly and that would have given him some extra confidence. He knew he wasn't going to walk straight in and carry on where he left off.'

Simon Church looks set to partner Maynard in yet another new look front line.
