Crewe Miss Everton Trip

Crewe have missed out on a trip to Everton in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. The Alex got knocked out after yesterday's 1-0 defeat away to Oldham - meaning Oldham get the plush 3rd Round tie at Goodison Park.

Crewe traveled to Everton for the fourth round of the FA Cup in 2002 where they forced the Premiership side into a 0-0 draw, taking the tie back to Gresty Road. Despite going 1-0 up in the replay through a Dean Ashton goal, Everton went on to win 2-1.

Could have been a good chance to get a few quid in the kitty and a good day out.
