Dario: Not Good Enough

Dario Gradi was far from happy with today's poor performance at Boundary Park as Oldham knocked the Alex out of the FA Cup.

A single Lee Hughes goal just before half time sealed it for the Latics in a game they pretty much dominated.

The game saw just two shots on goal from the Railwaymen, which leaves Technical Director Dario Gradi understandably disappointed with the team.

He told Radio Stoke & crewealex.net after the game: 'I didn't think we played well enough. Our quality was not good enough but I thought we might have got one late on with the big lads up there.

'We had a great chance in the opening 30 seconds, and it goes down as a miss from Ryan. Those things influence games and who knows how the game would have gone if we had scored then and then we had kept them out for a while.

'The players have come in and said that their goal was offside. I don't know but it looked tight from where we were. We will have a look at it again on the video but it is gone now and there is nothing we can do about.'
