Alex To Move For Bury Striker?

Dario Gradi has hinted that the club could make a renewed bid for Bury's Andy Bishop in January after ruling out a move for Forest Green Rovers' Stuart Fleetwood.

Crewe had shown a lot of interest in Bishop during August, having had a bid turned down for the striker. Despite Bury reportedly pricing Bishop at 500,000, it looks as if it won't put Dario off attempting to get his man.

Dario told superalex.co.uk:'Bishop is one we'd look at again, but he would be expensive,' Gradi said.

'I have spoken to Jim Harvey (the Forest Green manager) about Fleetwood, but I don't think he and Nicky Maynard would work together.'

However, with Ipswich and Blackpool also showing interest in Bishop, who has eight goals to his name this season, it looks as if Crewe will have competition to get the hit man.
