Abbey out for a month

Abbey out for a month

George Abbey faces a prolonged spell on the sidelines after a scan revealed that the former Port Vale man has torn a hamstring and he could face up to a month out.

He limped out of the home victory against Yeovil at the start of November and will now be hoping to return for the hectic Christmas schedule.

His experience and versatilty will be needed during this period as he can cover a number of positions at the back should we suffer injuries in defence.
