Maynard set to return

Long term injury victim Nicky Maynard is ready to end his injury nightmare and ready to take a place in the match-day squad very soon.

The player has been recovering from broken ankle which was sustained on the opening day of the season against Brighton at the Alexandra Stadium.

After months of working on his fitness, the Winsford born hitman is ready to resume his playing career. He has looked sharp in training and could be involved at Forest on Saturday.

This would provide a welcome boost to the side that are brimming with confidence following an unbeaten run in November. Hopefully Nicky can continue the form he showed last season and help us reach the top six.

Stick him on if we're under pressure in the last 20 minutes. Even if he's ineffective it'll give the fans and players a little boost.
Dink.
And worry Forest.
