Quick Fire: Would you loan Lunt?

In a quick fire poll, we're asking 'Would you have Kenny Lunt back?'. The midfield assassin was yesterday made available for loan by his current club Sheffield Wednesday.

After over 10 years as a schoolboy, player and captain at the Alex, and having made over 350 appearances, his availability is bound to raise eyebrows amongst the management and fans alike at Gresty Road.

During his final season in 05/06 he came in for a lot of criticism from fans as he captained a team that was soon relegated from the Championship. However, having made 20 assists (not counting the many more times he played a major role in goals) last time he played in League One (5 more than the next player in the entire Football League), his departure may well have effected us more than we imagined.

It is not doubted that Kenny can, and will, create plenty goals from the midfield but is there a place for him? With Roberts, Cox, Rix, Bopp, O'Connor and Schumacher all capable of playing in the centre of midfield, would Lunt's (reported) high wages be worth the extra midfield face? Or can the current crop do a sufficient job?

You can vote yes or no on the Vital Poll on the right hand column over the next day or so.
