Cobblers game to go ahead

Next Saturday's league one encounter between Crewe Alexandra and Northampton Town will go ahead as planned at the Alexandra Stadium.

Following International Call Up's for Michael O'Connor, Simon Church and Owain Fon Williams there was a worry that the game would be in doubt.

Following talks between club officials and the management team the game will go ahead despite the three players being away on international duty.

The loss is minimal as out of the three, only Simon Church is a regular starter and O'Connor is struggling with fitness so the green light has been given for the fixture to take place.
