Striker Deal Collapses
A deal to bring Plymouth Argyle's Nick Chadwick on loan has collapsed after it emerged Chadwick needs a hernia operation.
Dario hinted that a new striker could arrive before the end of the week. However, that hope faded this morning with news that our target, Nick Chadwick, requires surgery.
It's no surprise the club have tried for Chadwick. Only in the summer was a move for the Stoke born striker turned away by Plymouth, with a £250,000 price tagged slapped on him.
The Alex will now need to look elsewhere, with return for ex-striker Steve Jones from Burnley still being mooted.
Meanwhile, Shaun Miller is expected to start up front with Simon Church on Saturday as Lee Barnard faces at least 6 weeks out injured.
