Southend 3 - 0 Crewe

242 Crewe fans made the early trip down to Roots Hall today, only to see their commitment once again unrewarded with lacklustre Crewe losing 3-0.

A Southend goal from Bailey in the first half, and a Hooper tap in and Leon Clarke penalty in the second sealed Crewe`s fate as their games without a win stretches now to six.

Comprehensive match report to follow…

In other news it was revealed today the winger who was going to sign for the Alex this week but was held up after he picked up an injury plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Crewe fans will be hoping a deal can be brokered this week as it`s clear new faces may need to be brought in to freshen things up at the Alexandra Stadium.
