Crewe Ladies Finally Off The Mark

After six consecutive league defeats and a 9-1 cup drubbing at the hands of Chelsea Ladies, Crewe Ladies finally got off the mark on Sunday with an excellent win away at mid table Sunderland Women.

Having conceded 20 goals in their previous six league games and only scoring six the Crewe Ladies were going to have to keep it tight to get a result in Sunderland.

After a 3-1 loss against Sunderland Women at home earlier in the season and no points on the board the signs weren`t good for Terry Unitt`s players as they travelled to the North-East. They kept it tight though and nicked a goal to give them a 1-0 victory, an excellent result for all concerned.

The next game for the Crewe Ladies is away on Wednesday night against Aston Villa, as they will be hoping to get some more points under their belt to try and push themselves up from the foot of the Ladies Premier League North table.
