Bougherra Signs For Crewe

FC Gueugnon's Algerian defender Madjid Bougherra has signed for Crewe until the rest of the season, as previously reported on Vital Football: Bougherra To Sign On Loan. The 23-year old, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, must now receive international clearance before being able to be fielded as a Crewe player. Crewe boss Dario Gradi said, 'He looks to be a leader and we need a few of those. His English isn't great but he can get his point across.' Bougherra has already been on trial at Crewe, as reported in the link above, and is expected to feature in a friendly against Walsall tomorrow.
