Crewe Linked With City Striker

Crewe are being linked with Bristol City striker Phil Jevons. Dario is known to be a long term admirer of the former Grimsby Town striker and last night Neil Baker made the trip down to Bristol to watch Jevons.

Jevons was in action for the Bristol City reserves and scored a hat-trick in a 7-1 win over Bournemouth last night.

Despite being Bristol's top scorer, with 17 goals, in this league last year, promotion to the Championship has seen jevons pushed out of the side. Signings like Darren Byfield and Lee Trundle has left Jevons on the sidelines, starting just once in a Carling up game.

With the Alex struggling so much for goals, a move for a proven goal scorer at this level would give the team and fans alike a much needed boost.

would be a good move. Guy has a good finish on his and is very much in the Steve Jones mould (without the pace)
