Bopp makes weekend XI

Crewe Midfielder Eugen Bopp and Huddersfield's Andy Holdsworth have been selected in the League One team of the week which has been selected by a Football League Panel earlier today.

The summer signing netted our 2nd goal against Huddersfield and put in an assured display in an unfamiliar left hand side position. Whether his display on the left will be enough to convince the club not to bring in a left side midfielder on loan remains to be seen.

Last week we were linked with Derby's Lee Holmes, that appears to be unlikely as the player is currently injured. However, Liverpool youngster Ray Putterill remains an option and a decision on whether a loan player is needed is due this week.

The team of the week was as follows:

Joe Anyon - Port Vale
Matty Rose - Yeovil
Tamika Mkandawire - Leyton Orient
George Pilkington - Port Vale
Adam Barrett - Southend
Eugen Bopp - Crewe
Andy Holdsworth - Huddersfield
Kevin Maher - Southend
Dean Cox - Brighton
Richard Lambert - Bristol Rovers
Jermaine Beckford - Leeds United
