Adam Johnson a Loan Target?
Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Johnson is believed to be the loan target that the club are interested in bringing to the club. The management team revealed today that they are hoping to tie up a deal when the loan market reopens in seven days time.
Johnson, 20 was a product of the Middlesbrough Academy and has made 11 appearances for the Teeside club but has failed to establish himself in their first team.
He had a brief spell on loan at Leeds United last season where he played four games. He played in the same England Under 19's team as Crewe midfielder Gary Roberts.
Johnson is 5ft 9 and is described as a gifted left winger who made his debut in the UEFA Cup defeat in Sporting Lisbon. His only senior goal came in a 1-1 draw at Bolton in the 2005/06 season.
