Barnard Rejects Better Offers
Dario Gradi says that Lee Barnard has rejected better offers to go elsewhere. SPL side Motherwell have tried to sign the Spurs striker in the past week until manager Mark McGhee admitted defeat at the weekend.
Barnard agreed to join Crewe nearly three weeks ago, but various problems, including an injury, has delayed his 6 month loan deal at Gresty Road. Dario and Steve Holland are now confident Barnard will sign in time for Saturday's game at Swindon after the 23 year old trained with Spurs yesterday.
Dario told CreweAlex.net: 'We are hoping Lee will be up here by the end of the week. He has been made better offers to go elsewhere but he is still eager to come here and we believe he will be true to his word.'
