Crewe Given Injury Boost

Ryan Lowe, Michael O'Connor and Byron Moore could all be in contention for Saturday's match against Leyton Orient after returning from injuries.

Lowe and O'Connor have not yet featured this season. Ryan Lowe has had trouble with his achilles, an injury which struck hours before the openining game of the season. O'Connor, meanwhile, had a hernia operation in the summer.

Meanwhile, youngster Byron Moore could be back in the team after recovering from his knee injury. The 18 year old has impressed since breaking into the team this summer, and even picked up the match sponsor's Man Of The Match on the opening day of the season against Brighton.

Whilst Lowe and Moore could both be fit enough to play on Saturday, O'Connor will almost certainly be lacking match practice and is unlikely to play a part.

The returnees are a huge boost for the Alex. With Nicky Maynard and Chris McCready both looking at lengthy spells on the sidelines, the injuries were mounting.
