Striker hunt continues

Lee Barnard is expected to finally arrive in South Cheshire towards the end of this week but the management team are still on the look out for a permanent striker.

A proportion of the cash windfall that we are likely to receive in the coming weeks from David Vaughan's 300,000 move to Real Socidad could be reinvested in a striker.

The club are believed to be monitoring several players and the club could make a move before the transfer window closes. Names such as John Hartson and Jemal Johnson have been linked with moves over the summer and it will be interesting to see if anything comes to fruition.

As ever if anything develops you will hear it here first on Crewe Vital .
