Woodards in team of the week

Former Chelsea trainee Danny Woodards was selected in the League One team of the week. He was selected for his performace in the 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers. The full back was included in the team along with Chris Carruthers of Bristol Rovers.

To me, this seems somewhat puzzling as the youngster had an average game and has yet to recapture the form he showed at the tail end of last season.

The team was selected by the Press Association, they must have watched a different game to me as their were far better players on display at the Memorial Ground (pictured) such as Gary Roberts and Dave Pipe.

The League One team of the week was as follows:

Stuart Nelson (Leyton Orient)
Danny Woodards (Crewe)
Chris Carruthers (Bristol Rovers)
Michael Nelson (Hartlepool)
Terrell Forbes (Luton)
Chris Shuker (Tranmere)
Alan Thompson (Leeds)
Darren Anderton (Bournemouth)
Matty Robson (Hartlepool)
Alex Revell (Brighton)
Paul Furlong (Luton)

Crewe Vital wants your views, did Danny Woodards deserve to be included in the team of the week?
