'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Up To Vaughan

Dario Gradi has explained the club's decision to accept the £300,000 bid from Real Sociedad for David Vaughan.

With Vaughany out of contract next summer, and seemingly unwilling to sign a new one, the club are keen to cash in. Dario explained that it's up to Vaughan.

Dario told CreweAlex.net: 'We have accepted a bid from Real Sociedad for David Vaughan. We rejected their first offer but they came back to us and upped to £300,000 and although we feel a David Vaughan at his best is worth more than that, he is out of contract in the summer and could go for nothing.

'The deal could fall through, but he is going over there to talk to them and the ball is firmly in his court.'

Vaughan will fly out to Spain over the weekend to speak to Real Sociedad manager Chris Coleman (pictured), hence he won't be included in Saturday's trip to Bristol Rovers.
