Second Striker May Still Come
Despite missing out on Nick Chadwick, Dario says that another striker is still on the cards to hopefully join Lee Barnard.
It was first revealed here on Vital Crewe on Saturday afternoon that a second striker would be arriving with Lee Barnard. Dario has today confirmed the news, saying that a deal could still be done, despite missing out on Nick Chadwick.
He told CreweAlex.net: 'We do have our eye on another one to go along with the lad from Spurs. That one could still happen. We are not totally sure we could get him, but we would be hopeful of him coming to us. There is a chance with that one and we'll see what develops.
'We have been linked with a number of strikers but they are just names.'
Recently the names being linked have been John Hartson (West Brom), Craig Lindfield (Liverpool) and Jemal Johnson (Wolves). A deal for Hartson is rumoured to be close, although, as yet, it is only gossip.
