Chadwick Too Expensive, Club Says

The club have given up on their attempts to sign Plymouth Argyle striker Nick Chadwick, saying he's too expensive. Chadwick was top of Steve and Dario's list as revealed FIRST on Vital Crewe!

However, today the club have said they have given up on the deal after being priced out. Initially, Plymouth manager Ian Holloway said that they had only spoken to Crewe about 'Chadders' and no deal had been spoken of.

Today though, Dario says that although he'd have liked to sign Chadwick, the deal was a non-starter financially...

He told the official site: 'I've spoken to Plymouth this morning to ask about the availability of Nick Chadwick but that any deal is a non-starter. He is beyond our means financially. It is the whole package, the fee that would be involved and his wages.

'I'm afraid that that one is now dead.'

It is thought that Plymouth would want at least £250,000 for the Stoke born striker.

He's not even close to being worth the transfer fee if you ask me!
