Two Strikers In On Monday?

It`s believed Lee Barnard will complete his move to Gresty Road on Monday, with another striker set to join as well after today`s disastrous injury to Nicky Maynard.

It`s no secret Crewe are looking for another striker and talks have been held with Tottenham striker Lee Barnard over a possible loan move, with Spurs willing to let him join us.

It's also thought that Crewe have over the last few days spoken to another unnamed striker, with a view to signing on Monday.

With a League Cup game on Wednesday night against Hull, Crewe will have to move quickly to bolster an already depleted and inexperienced forward line.

I feeling impatient now, like a kid on Christmas eve! Who's the 2nd guy? I've been hearing Linfield or Hartson. Can't see it being Hartson because of the wages...

Driving me nuts. I won't believe we have any new striker till they're pulling on a Crewe shirt. Hopefully Barnard before the end of the day - I'll worry if not. Could be Hartson, lots of things could tempt him here, but I'll think it'll be Lindfield, if not an un-linked player.
