Loan deal agreed

The club have confirmed that they have had a bid accepted for an unnamed player to come on loan. If the deal is completed it will bolster our attacking options, since the sale of Luke Varney earlier in the summer the club have been trying to bring a striker in and on the eve of the season they may have just found their man.

The unnamed striker has been given the weekend to think about a loan move to South Cheshire. The club hope to tie up the deal by the start of next week

We have been linked with a whole host of players over the summer, Craig Lindfield, Lee Barnard (pictured) and Frasier Campbell have been linked as have Nick Chadwick and John Harton.

Crewe Vital will keep you posted when anything develops.
