The Vale will be looking towards the play off`s in the forthcoming season, injuries and suspensions cost the Staffordshire club last year which resulted in a mid table position for them.
They have lost top scorer Leon Constantine who was linked with a summer move to Crewe but he elected to join Leeds. Marc Richards has joined them as has Craig Rocastle and the tricky Shane Tudor.
Former Crewe player Luke Rodgers has been in fine form in pre-season and he will be looking to continue his goal-scoring form in to the new season. Decent first team on paper but may struggle if they lose key players to injury or suspension.
