Derby Day

Crewe play their penultimate pre-season fixture against Derby County tonight. The game kicks off at 19.45 and it will give fans the chance to see new signing George Abbey who is expected to start as first choice right back Danny Woodards is likely not to be risked as he is carrying a slight knock.

Michael O`Connor, David Vaughan and Tom Pope are all definitely ruled out through injury whilst it's unlikely that Ben Williams will feature as he is suffering from a dead leg, his place will go to Stuart Tomlinson.

Derby come to town on the back of a 2-0 success against local rivals Nottingham Forest last night. Jay McEveley and Craig Fagan scored the goals in the inaugural Brian Clough Trophy match.

It is likely that a few of the players that took part in last night`s game will feature tonight, Jon Macken, Darren Moore, Dean Leacock and Steve Howard are expected to play some part in the fixture. They are likely to bring a squad with a mixture of youth and experience.
