Youngsters In BT Trophy Quarters

The Crewe Alex youngsters will play their Scottish counterparts Queen of the South in the BT Northern Ireland Trophy quarter finals today.

The academy side had been hoping to make the Milk Cup quarter final, and they were looking good for them after a 3-0 win over River Plate in Monday's qualifying game, but having crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of St Kevin's yesterday they will now play in the less prestigious 'BT Trophy'.

All four Trophy games include English sides, with Chelsea, Watford and Swindon also playing later today.

The only other English side in the Junior section are Reading, who made the Milk Cup quarter finals and will play St Kevin's late this afternoon.

Crewe's game against Queen of the South kicks off at 12noon and Vital Crewe will bring you the result as soon as we have it.
