Summer of changes for the Orient, Long serving striker Gary Alexander and defender Matt Lockwood have moved to Millwall and Nottingham Forest respectively. Both were decent players at this level and will be missed by the O`s.
They have replaced with some astute signings, Sean Thornton and Adam Boyd should be good additions to the squad, both have played at a higher level and should replace the experience of Lockwood and Alexander.
Leyton Orient embarrassed Crewe with a 4-0 win at the Alexandra Stadium in one of the worst performance in recent years last season. We will have an early chance to avenge that defeat when they visit on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday.
They narrowly avoided relegation last season and another relegation scrap is likely, Boyd and Thornton will need to adapt quickly to life in the east of London if they are to avoid relegation to League Two.
