Varney Takes Deano's Advice

Varney Takes Deano's Advice

Luke Varney has sought advice about settling in London from an old team mate - Dean Ashton. The 25 year old striker moved to Charlton in a £2million move this summer - a daunting move for someone who was a labourer in Leicester just 5 years ago.

However, Luke has taken advice off his former Alex team mate and friend Dean Ashton. Ashton made the move to London in January 2006 after West Ham United paid over £7million for him.

Luke told the Daily Mail: "I followed a similar path to Deano and he has given me a lot of advice about settling in London."
