Murdock becomes a Shrew

Colin Murdock has signed for Shrewsbury on a 1 year deal after a successful trial period with the Shropshire based club. Shrews boss Gary Peters (pictured) played in the same team as Murdock when they were both at Preston.

The former Northern Ireland international played 15 times for Crewe and was offered an extended deal in July 2005 but elected to join Rotherham United instead.

He will now link up with former Crewe players Darren Kempson and Darren Moss at the New Meadow as they look to gain promotion from league two.

Shrewsbury have put together a pretty good team. Darren Moss is a fantastic signing for a League Two side.
