Williams suffers injury setback

Ben Williams picked up a knock in the 1-0 win at Forest Green last Tuesday. The 24 year old keeper suffered a dead leg during the match and is a major doubt for the midweek friendly against Premiership Derby County.

He has been looking to cement his place in the team ahead of the new campaign, the injury is not serious and he should be in contention for the final home friendly against Cheshire rivals Stockport next Saturday.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed trialist Patrick Suffo will not feature in the final two friendlies as he is severely lacking in fitness. The club have stepped up the search for a centre forward and believed to be tracking a young Centre forward from either Sheffield United or Coventry City.

Can't see any young, tall (ish), strikers on either squad list - unless it's Christian Nade who I wouldn't have thought would be dropping to League One any time soon.
