Toon start for Alex youngsters

Crewe`s Under 18`s start the season with a tricky trip to the North East to take on Newcastle United in the opening Premier Academy North Fixture. They begin a week later than the first team on Saturday August 18th.

In the northern section they will also face games against the youth teams of Man Utd, Man City, Blackburn, Liverpool, Middlesbrough and local rivals Stoke City. They will also enter the prestigious FA Youth Cup at the 2nd round stage in November.

Previously the Youth team was under the guidance of Steve Holland but with his promotion to first team coach it is likely that former players Neil Critchley and James Collins will be in charge of the Under 18`s for the forthcoming campaign.

Home games for the Under 18`s are played at the fantastic Reaseheath Complex and they are generally 11am kick off`s on Saturday mornings and fans are welcome to attend free of charge.
